18 June 2009 - TRACERCO ASIA LABORATORY OFFICIALLY
OPENED
Tracerco Asia’s first analytical laboratory in the
Asia Pacific region is now officially opened and ready to
go! The Dialog Group’s Chairman & Group Managing
Director, Mr Ngau Boon Keat officiated this event, together
with Tracerco’s Managing Director, Mr Andy Hurst.
This laboratory (costing more than RM1mil) is equipped
with state-of-art analytical instruments with extremely
low detection limits and will be operated by competent,
trained and experienced analysts. In line with our company
policy, the laboratory is also assured by Tracerco’s
Tracer Technology Centre in the UK, which is accredited
to ISO standards.
With the opening of this new laboratory, our valued customers
in Asia will enjoy a much quicker sample turn around time
and at more competitive costs. This gives greater added
value and enables a new water and gas flooding improvement
strategy that can be adopted in a quicker time to optimise
Operator’s water or gas injection performance, leading
to improved hydrocarbon recovery.

22 April 2009 - REGIONAL DEMAND SEES TRACERCO EXPAND
OPERATIONS IN ASIA AND AUSTRALIA
Leading industrial technology specialist

two regional service centres in Asia and Australia.

Tracerco has enhanced its global
reach by investing £1 million to
launch two regional service centres
in Asia and Australia. |
While the company has operated commercially in both areas
for more than two years, the move to new facilities in Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia and Perth, Australia, will see Tracerco
offer its full range of products and services to the regional
oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
Training offered at the company’s new Global Centre
of Excellence, based at its headquarters in England, will
be replicated for local engineers at the new facilities.
The theory and practical based programmes will educate new
engineering recruits in process diagnostic applications
such as column scanning, flooded member inspection and separator
characterisation. These non-intrusive technical services
bring to local customers techniques that elsewhere have
become an essential component in the process operators tool
kit.
The recently opened base has significant office space for
over twenty local Tracerco employees, workshop and laboratory
facilities. The latter enables Tracerco to offer regional
oil companies the benefit of much faster turnaround time
for analysis of samples associated with reservoir tracer
projects.
Tracerco Australia now operates from a custom-built headquarters
with Process Diagnostics engineers, a technical sales manager
and managing director for Asia and Australia, Ken Pearson.
The company now has a fast growing customer base of oil
and gas companies and oil field service companies regularly
using Tracerco’s industry-leading process diagnostics
technology.
Mr Pearson, said: “Asia and Australia are key growth
areas for our business. The investment made in the regional
service centres will give us a capability to give fast response
to local customers via Tracerco engineers in the language
and local culture.
“We recognise the importance of being where our customers
are. If for example, an Australian operator is considering
buying a TRACERCO Profiler™, they want to know that
they have access to local technical support as opposed to
flying an engineer in from our UK headquarters. As such,
we have invested in our on-base training facilities and
programmes to ensure are regional field diagnostic teams
can respond to customers’ queries and problems in
the most effective manner possible.”

Sustainable Development worthy of recognition.
David Moore, Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Advisory
Committee, who joined Stephen Brice in the region as part
of a nationwide tour to meet past winners, added:
“We know that winners take great pride in their Awards
and as we visit each region over the coming months we hope
that more businesses will be inspired to follow them by
applying for a 2009 Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
The first of Tracerco’s Queen’s Awards came
in 2003 in the Innovation Category for its multi-award winning
instrument; The TRACERCO Profiler™, Its ability
to develop and implement measurement solutions, bringing
them successfully to market rapidly has underpinned Tracerco’s
success.
Tracerco received its second Queen’s Award in 2005
in the category of International Trade for outstanding export
and growth in sales over the past three years. Tracerco

past three years, it has exported to international markets
such as Brazil, Nigeria, China, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan,
the Middle East and throughout South East Asia.
Andy Hurst, Managing Director, at Tracerco, said: The Queen’s
Award is something we are very proud of and epitomises the
innovation and creativity that exists in our region. Winning
is a tremendous achievement - a royal seal of approval for
our business and employees. It positions us as one of the
top performing technology businesses in the UK and we will
