Tracerco celebrates opening of new branch office in
Azerbaijan
CHAMPAGNE was flowing at the British Embassy in Baku,
Azerbaijan last week when Billingham based company Tracerco
- part of the Johnson Matthey group - celebrated the opening
of its latest office. The event proved a great success with
guests including Tracerco customers, the British Ambassador
to Baku, His Excellency Mr Laurie Bristow and Tracerco Managing
Director, Andy Hurst.
The Baku office will allow Tracerco to provide local support
to meet its customer needs in Azerbaijan and focus on the
growing oil and gas market in the remainder of the Caspian
region where there is a large customer base working in the
areas of upstream oil and gas production. BP has invested
$25billion in oil and gas production and processing facilities
in one of the largest expansions seen in the global oil
industry. Tracerco’s expansion plans in the region
will include the hiring and training of local Azerbaijani
engineers, and support staff.
Les Winward, General Manager for Tracerco Baku said: “Having
an office in Baku allows us to offer our unique range of
industrial technologies in process diagnostics, specialist
measurement and fuel tagging demonstrating the value of
our products and services to the oil industry in the Caspian
region.”
