Another award for ground-breaking technology created
on Teesside
BILLINGHAM-based company Tracerco, which is part of Johnson
Matthey Plc, has once again helped to put Teesside on the
global map. Its ground breaking TRACERCO Profiler instrument
has been awarded special recognition at a global trade conference
held in the U.S.A.
The Profiler, was amongst fifteen drilling production technologies
recognised at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston.
It had already proved to be a national winner when it was
last year awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in
the Innovation category.
Andy Hurst, managing director of Tracerco, said: “The
products chosen are not only new and innovative but are
also proven, promise to have a significant impact and are
of a broad interest to the industry. Receiving this recognition
is a wonderful accolade for the Tracerco team and proves
once again that the region is a leading player in the global
industry.”
The TRACERCO Profiler™, uses advanced measurement
technology to accurately determine and control the contents
of oil and gas production separators. It has been described
as a unique and novel instrument that when inserted into
a vessel determines, through precise measurements, the various
phases present at any given time.
