Tracerco wins top honour at North East Business Awards

At the recent North East Business Awards 2009 Regional final, Tracerco was announced as the proud winner of the Company of the Year 2008.

Andy Hurst, Tracerco’s managing director, said: “The award recognises outstanding performance by a company in the North East. Winning is a great achievement and is in recognition of the hard work, skill and endeavour of each and every one of Tracerco's employees in pursuit of doing great things for our customers”.


Tracerco hails Queen's Award innovation success

Leading industrial technology specialist Tracerco, part of the Johnson Matthey Group, is celebrating after winning a coveted Queen's Award for Enterprise 2009 Innovation award for its radiation monitors. It is the third Queen's Award the company has won in the past six years.

Andy Hurst, Tracerco’s managing director, said: “Winning a third Queen’s Award is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work, commitment and professionalism of our employees across the group. To be recognised again for our innovation shows that we are committed to developing industry-leading technology

North East Business Awards 2009

At the recent North East Business Awards 2009 sub-regional final for the Tees Valley region, Tracerco was announced as the proud winner of the Company of the year.

The award recognises outstanding performance by a company in the North East.

The Tees Valley winners will join successful firms from sub regional events in Durham, Wearside, Tyneside and Northumberland to battle it out to be the best in the region at the grand final at Hardwick Hall on April 30th


Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2005

Tracerco is celebrating after winning a second prestigious Queen’s Award in only three years.

Tracerco has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2005 in the International Trade category.

The award, which is given to only a small number of companies nationwide, is in recognition of outstanding export and growth in sales over the past three years.

Managing Director Andy Hurst said the award recognised the efforts of every single member of staff at Tracerco. “Winning the Queen’s Award is a tremendous achievement - a royal seal of approval for our business and employees. It positions us as one of the top performing businesses in the UK and we will continue to strengthen our resources to develop further international sales.”

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious awards for business performance. The awards are made each year by the Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister and industry, commerce and the trade unions.


Tees Valley Business Award 2005: Technology Award

At the recent North East Business Awards 2004 sub-regional final for the Tees Valley region, Tracerco was announced as the proud winner of the Technology Award; demonstrating the development of novel technology leading to the creation of The TRACERCO Profiler™.

This award is designed to encourage innovation and the use of technology. We can now look forward to the regional grand final event to be held in May where Tracerco will go head-to head with fellow winners of the Technology Award from the two other sub-regions; Durham & Wearside and Tyneside & Northumberland. Tracerco was announced as runner-up for the Export Award and Company of the Year Award.


NOF Export, Achievement and Innovation Award

At the recent Northern Offshore Federation Dinner, Tracerco picked up both the Export Achievement and the Innovation Award for 2002.

Andy Hurst, Managing Director of Tracerco said: "This is a major achievement for any business and we are all extremely proud of the awards and the success of the business unit. The fact that Tracerco has been recognised by the NOF as the company which has made the greatest achievement with regards to exports and innovation in the region is testimony to our hard work, determination and entrepreneurial spirit."

Tracerco beat off stiff competition from eight other finalists to win the Export category and the judges were impressed in a number of activities. The geographical growth in sales of the TRACERCO Profiler™and the penetration of the TRACERCO Diagnostics™ services into both the South East Asian and Norwegian markets. Finally special attention was given to the way Tracerco had entered the fuel anti-adulteration market, via the new TRACERCO™ 400 Series tracers.

Queen’s Award for Enterprise:Innovation 2003


Tracerco was proud to gain further recognition when The TRACERCO Profiler™ was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation Category in 2003. The purpose of the award is to recognise and encourage commercial success resulting from outstanding and innovative achievements by business units in the UK, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

OTC Spotlight on New Technology Award 2004

Tracerco is a recipient of the 2004 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) ‘Spotlight On New Technology Award’. Tracerco presented one of its latest innovations, The TRACERCO Profiler™ (PRI156 Unit), at the Offshore Technology Conference and Exhibition 2004, held in Houston. The award recognises innovative, breakthrough technologies and the impact of these new technologies on the offshore industry.
