Mechanical/Process Technician Job Opportunities

Tracerco, a process diagnostics company, is seeking process technicians for its offices located in Concord, California; Houston, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Duties involved will be:

• Traveling to refineries and other plants and assisting an Engineer or Project Leader in data gathering through radiological investigations.
  • Entails some overnight travel.
  • Climbing distillation towers and other process vessels.
  • Working with radioactive materials.
• Maintaining mechanical equipment (harnesses, scanning reels and other hardware).
• Maintaining and organizing shop work areas.
• Ensuring company vehicles are in job-ready status (mechanic’s skills not required).

Tracerco, a Johnson Matthey company, specializes in process diagnostics for the refining, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. This is accomplished through radiological investigations and knowledge of various process equipment; Distillation Towers, Heat Exchangers, Process Reactors, Stills, Valves and Piping.

Skills and requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Good mechanical aptitude necessary. Experience in an industrial environment preferred.
• Must be computer literate, having knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Job involves overnight travel and rotating weekend on-call duty.
• Must be able to obtain a passport and participate on occasional international jobs.
• Must submit to all health and safety requirements including respirator fit testing.
