The offshore production of oil and gas involves both the extraction of crude hydrocarbon material from the ground and then the separation of the oil and gas from the water, sand and other solid materials that come up during extraction. Tracerco provide a range of FPSO scanning and tracer technologies at both the extraction and separation stages enabling real time characterization of conditions in the process in much the same way as analogous techniques (e.g. CT scan, angiogram) are used in the medical world.

The separation of oil and gas from its by-products, sand and water, is at the heart of all hydrocarbon production facilities. Tracerco has developed a range of services and instruments that are used to optimise the performance of the separator systems within floating production storage and offloading vessels by measuring in real-time what is actually occurring within the process vessels.

These instruments are non-intrusive and allow them to be used in the harshest of conditions such as high temperatures, slurries and corrosive materials.
