At Tracerco, the customer experience does not end with the purchase of our products. We offer support, training, maintenance, and optimization expertise for all of our products.
Tracerco is the only nucleonic instrumentation provider able to offer a ‘full’ range of support services in-house. In addition to providing a responsive and professional network of highly skilled Nucleonic Instrumentation Engineers, Tracerco provides a Radiation Protection Advisory Consultancy service and a world renowned Process Diagnostic team offering the most diverse and advanced range of tracer and scanning technologies. These cutting edge techniques provide unequivocal understanding of some of the most complex process problems.
The unique synergy enjoyed by our customers’ means that when it comes to trouble-shooting there need be no second-guessing – Instrument performance can be proven.
Service Agenda
Ensure that the performance of your systems continue to live up to your expectations. Contact a member of the nucleonic Instrumentation Team today to discuss your requirements or to arrange an onsite consultation.
Compliance
Leak Test Certification - As a requirement of your licensing, periodic leak tests must be carried out, every 2 years (minimum) to ensure that radioactive material has not escaped and caused contamination. We strongly recommend that Tracerco carry out these tests for analysis.
System Health Checks – annual/bi-annual function testing and inspection of your measurement system components ensure continued operability and compliance.
Radiological Critical Examinations – documented assessment following installation of equipment or following changes that may affect the system
Source Integrity Assessments –assessment of radioactive sources at or near to recommended working life.
Equipment Integrity Reports – Tracerco recommend that a more thorough inspection is carried out on source containers, shutter mechanisms an arming rods every 5 years
Optimisation
Re-calibration - calibrations are recommended on a 2-yearly basis to take account of process/plant changes and source decay on mature systems
Performance Assessment – although one of the most reliable measurement technologies available, radioisotope decay, and process changes over life of plant can reduce the overall effectiveness of your measurements. In addition to re-calibrations, we can establish present day accuracy and response of your system. Such information for owners of ageing plants can establish whether ‘measurement’ and ‘trip needs’ will continue to be met by their existing equipment, now and for years to come.
Validation Services – this mobile, non-intrusive diagnostic facility gives you ultimate confidence in determining the position of level or interfaces within an application.
Field Services
Pre-Commissioning Services – don’t feel that you need to wait to get us on-site. Pre- commissioning services can remove experienced during commissioning periods and include site surveys and installation supervision of equipment.
Repair, Refurbish, Relocate - Tracerco can repair, refurbish or relocate your existing equipment and provide all of the necessary documentation.
Remove, Recycle, Replace – Tracerco can manage and remove, recycle and replace radioactive sources.
Upgrades
Ensure your equipment is fully supported. - Reduce potential downtime and embarrassment of dealing with unsupported obsolete equipment. Upgrading to current state of the art detectors and software can mean more than operating over the latest Fieldbus communications.
Upgrade your electronics - modern state of the art technology detection systems offer improved diagnostic features and documented probability of failure on demand figures that can enable hassle free integration and use in safety systems. Higher sensitivities can mean that measurement performance and source life is enhanced potentially saving thousands in disposal costs. No additional licensing is involved.
Training and Maintenance Plans
Maintenance, Training and Product Information – Tracerco can provide recommendations for your maintenance requirements. Please contact the nucleonic instrumentation team or your Tracerco RPA if you require any information or assistance. Your staff needs to be familiar with nucleonic instrumentation used on your site and in its operation. Our product training courses cover all maintenance requirements.
Integration workshops – Site integration survey or visit from one of our Systems Engineers to clarify your integration needs. Where your systems people need input and direction above and beyond the usual exchange of project information. We recommend that such a workshop be held with EPC integration engineers and the operator responsible technician present and that this session should follow our standard training overview offering.
