Non-intrusive Slug Monitoring Instrument
 The measurement and characterization of process slugs is critical within the oil and gas industry, as it allows greater control and thereby suppression of slugs. This, in turn, optimizes production rates, minimizes unforeseen shutdowns and reduces costly maintenance downtime due to vessel or internal damage.
That is why Tracerco has developed the new TRACERCO™ SlugMonitor, the first non-intrusive, real-time densitometer based slug characterization instrument.
By utilizing advanced non-intrusive densitometer measurement technology based on gamma transmission, combined with unique diagnostic software, Tracerco is able to offer the most accurate and reliable instrument capable of characterizing process slugs.

The TRACERCO™ SlugMonitor instrument can determine:
- Slug velocity;
- Slug size;
- Slug duration;
- Estimated time of arrival of the slug at specific vessels.
The TRACERCO™ SlugMonitors are all unique,
bespoke systems designed to meet our customer’s requirements
by our team of experts. The instrument, which can be easily
retrofitted, is backed up by our global service team, whose
engineers are highly experienced within the oil and gas
industry.
