Tracerco’s new China office provides global expertise with local service
Date:18/06/2009
Leading industrial technology specialist Tracerco, part
of the Johnson Matthey group, has increased its global presence
by establishing a new service centre in Shanghai, China.
The opening comes shortly after the company invested in
new operations facilities in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and
Perth, Australia.
Despite the global economic downturn, China continues to
achieve growth and positive GDP adding still further capacity
to its vast oil and gas, refining and petrochemical industries.
The new office will make Tracerco’s full range of
diagnostic and measurement technologies available to operators
across China. Significant interest has already been established
amongst lead process and maintenance engineers eager to
access new tools to add to their task of increasing production
rates and driving efficiency improvement.
This team consists of a core team of locally hired engineers
who have been fully trained to the company’s high
standards able to respond quickly to client requests, while
also providing a local aftersales service to the growing
installed base of Tracerco’s instrument systems.
Ken Pearson, managing director for Asia and Australia
said: “Opening an office in China is very important
to us. It continues to be a major economic and industrial
powerhouse and as such, its demand for energy and petroleum
derived manufactured products is increasing. I am confident
our unique range of measuring, diagnostic and tracer products
and local, technical expertise will be well received by
the technology receptive Chinese market and that our customer
base will expand rapidly.
