Residence Study

The TRACERCO Diagnostics™ - Residence Time Study allows our customers to fully understand the residence time distribution that is occurring within their reaction vessel. The technique, which is suitable for both gases and liquid, is able to confirm the overall residence time through the vessel, the extent of internal leakage, the extent of by-passing and the extent of deposits within the reactor. The TRACERCO Diagnostics™ - Residence Time Study which utilises tracer technology, is totally non-intrusive and requires no preparation of the reactor or the associated pipe-work.

Features of the TRACERCO Diagnostics™ - Residence Time Study

  • A rapid and reliable method of confirming the residence time distribution within the reaction system.
  • Able to identify internal leakage / by-passing
  • Tracers fully mimics the liquid or gas flow regime.
  • Provides real-time data for our customers
  • Suitable on all pipe diameters greater than 25mm.
  • The detection is non-intrusive and reliable
  • The technique is carried out by a team of highly trained Tracerco engineers
  • Rapid response available from Tracerco.

Benefits of the TRACERCO Diagnostics™ - Residence Time Study

  • Identifies process problems quickly (channelling, by-passing, preferential flow) allowing optimisation & modifications to be made - Optimising throughput & Costs
  • Immediate results allow decisions to be quickly and efficiently - Reducing Time & Costs
  • Allows our customers to optimise their shut-down operation - Increasing production time & saving costs.
