| TRACERCO Diagnostics - Distribution Study
Tracerco have developed a technique, the TRACERCO Diagnostics
- Distribution Study, which allows our customers to fully
understand the distribution characteristics which are occurring
within their packed bed distillation column. The study,
which can be carried out using either a tracer or a non-tracer
technique enables us to identify and quantify the extent
of mal-distribution occurring within the column and thereby
allows the vessels operation to be modified, if required,
and optimised.
Features
of the TRACERCO Diagnostics - Distribution Study
- A rapid and reliable method of characterising the process
conditions that exist within a packed bed.
- Provides real-time data
- Can use a non intrusive technique (non-tracer)
- Tracer technique mimics material flow regime
- No sampling is required and no vessel preparation is
required
- Rapid response available from Tracerco
- Able to link in with Computerised Fluid Dynamic CFD
models to verify existing process conditions
Benefits of the TRACERCO Diagnostics - Distribution
Study
- Confirms actual operating conditions within the packed
bed (mal-distribution)
- Allows the customers to optimise performance of the
packed bed
- Identifies if higher production through vessel is possible
- Enables customers to optimise maintenance strategy for
the vessel
- Greater understanding of production rates relationship
with carryover, pressure drop, etc.
