| TRACERCO Diagnostics - Interwell Study - Waterflood
The
TRACERCO Diagnostics - Interwell Study during waterflood
operations enhances reservoir characterisation leading to
increased oil recovery. This allows our customers to extract
greater value from their hydrocarbon assets. Our comprehensive
service includes Project Design, Tracer Supply, Tracer Injection
and Tracer Analysis.
Features of the TRACERCO Diagnostics - Interwell
Study - Waterflood
- A range of unique tracer types are available to establish
injector to producer relationships throughout a field.
- Tracer materials include new chemical and radioactive
tracers which are stable under reservoir conditions, resist
biodegradation and are passive to formation and fluids
within the reservoir.
- A variety of injection techniques and procedures are
offered to allow the safe injection of the tracer materials
and to avoid interruption to the main operating system.
- An analytical section using specialist laboratory equipment
and methods to determine low levels of tracer in reservoir
fluid - sensitivities capable of detecting tracer dilutions
greater than 1012.
Benefits of the TRACERCO Diagnostics - Interwell
Study - Waterflood
The TRACERCO Diagnostics - Interwell Study reduces
the uncertainties involved in predicting injection water
interwell flow. The technology provides:
- Determination of the injector to producer flow relationships;
- Accurate measurements of first injection water breakthrough
to validate computer flow models;
- Quantifies the amount of water flowing from an injector
to a specific producer;
- Assessment of the volumetric sweep efficiency of the
flood;
- Detection and quantification of fault block communication;
- Determination of the zonal water flow communication;
- Confirmation of the presence of high flow permeable
channels;
- Measurement of flood wide reservoir preferential flow
trends.
Additional Techniques include:
- Vertical Flow Profile of water at a distance away from
the injector;
- Interwell Sor measurements to waterflood.
- Assessment of chemical or biological enhanced oil recovery
technologies.
