The TRACERCO Diagnostics™ TankVision probe

For many years, accurate knowledge and confidence in levels of deposits within storage vessels has been a common problem throughout the oil and gas industry. Tracerco’s constant drive towards offering innovative solutions to its customers has led to the development of the TRACERCO Diagnostics™ TankVision technique. The rapid, accurate and above all safe technique is usually performed without any preparation to the vessel. The fibre optic based system ensures that it cannot trigger an explosion of volatile gases

Results are instantly available, allowing operators to be able to schedule production optimal shutdowns for cleaning and preparation of the storage facility for startup.

The principle of the measurement is based on the gamma ray transmission that Tracerco has been using for more than 40 years. The TRACERCO Diagnostics™ TankVision uses a radioactive source and crystal, the signal of which is led by a fibre optic cable for processing in a safe area. Tracerco’s well-trained staff can draw upon years of experience in this innovative technology.
