As the Proposals Engineer Apprentice you will be working within the Specialist Measurement department supporting the Bid/Proposal team to prepare high quality bids and tenders for measurement solutions to a variety of industrial process applications. From initial interest and pursuit of an opportunity to final tender proposal documentation submission.

Your goal / purpose will be to become qualified with a HND or HNC within Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering. This role will involve 4 days per week in the office and 1 day per week studying.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support with Supplier Vendor Questionnaires, working closely with other organisational stakeholders such as operations, legal, HR and finance.
  • Provide support to assist quality and timely completion of proposal submissions
  • Liaising with other engineering disciplines to ensure technical compliance
  • Assisting with the technical/commercial proposal in accordance with client tender requirements
  • Any other duties which are deemed to be within the post holders’ skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed

Requirements for the role:

  • A Passion or interest in a STEM subject
  • Willing to study HND or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • A Levels or equivalent
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Pro-active problem solver
  • Attention to detail
