Business Development Manager - Subsea.

Building and developing a sustainable portfolio of customers/project in our subsea business sector will be the job holder’s primary responsibility. Reporting to the Upstream Commercial Manager-America’s, the job holder will be responsible for techno-commercial support covering subsea applications for projects mainly in the Gulf of Mexico area.  Long term growth will be created through market research, networking, presentations, referrals, cold-calling, customer meetings and call-ins.  The Business Development Manager- Subsea will also be accountable for the efficient delivery of subsea technology knowhow to the customer base and for exceeding revenue and profit targets.

Key Responsibilities 

• Identify opportunities and build short- and long-term pipelines
• Forecasting future work in short, medium and long term.
• Initiating discussions and following up with opportunities throughout the sales cycle
• Log communications and feedback
• Performing customer visits and completion of visit reports
• Be a key contact within Tracerco for subsea customers
• Preparation of Subsea commercial and technical proposals for projects
• Liaising with the Tracerco Legal team by going through and agreeing MSA/PO terms and conditions
• Customer follow up to ensure that customer projects are won, PO’s obtained, and cash received
• Liaising with internal Operations, Commercial & Projects teams to ensure projects are progressed and delivered to meet customer requirements
• Assist with the delivery of the Subsea budget
• Assist with the identifying new development of subsea applications

Are you the ideal candidate? 

• A strong background in technical sales and an understanding of subsea technologies is required in order to offer the most appropriate level of advice and support to our customer base.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in Business Development/Sales environment
• Previous experience in the US Gulf of Mexico territory within the industry, with an emphasis in subsea technologies is required.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Degree level qualification in related field preferred but not essential.
