We are currently looking for a Logistics and Stores Coordinator to join our Measurement Insight team.

In this position you will be part of the Logistics team, reporting to the Logistics team-leader and responsible for the effective delivery of the logistics stores functions to the entire business. The role will require you to work collaboratively with colleagues in small team and staff from other departments across the business both in the UK and globally. The role demands for responsive and flexible approach, but most importantly for the strict compliance to regulation and detail.

Principal accountabilities

  • Ensure all statutory and mandatory health & safety, and environmental standards and targets are maintained.
  • Responsible for movement of goods outside of the business (including IATA class 7 / IMDG).
  • Logistics procedures within UK initially (but also global bases as agreed).
  • Responsible for packaging of equipment, safely stored (in flight cases, peli cases, weather protection).
  • Responsible for (counter balance) Fork-truck operations within the business.
  • Responsible for all aspects of logistics compliance.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent standard, or NVQ, or work-based learning in relevant background.
  • Experience of carrying out general duties in a stores environment (essential).
  • Experience of logistics processes for shipping goods in/out (essential).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • IT literate can use MS office.
  • Plans, organizes, schedules, and budgets in an efficient, productive manner. Focuses on key priorities.
  • Learns quickly. Demonstrates ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information.
  • Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the company.
  • Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions. Copes effectively with complexity and change.
  • Possesses a strong willingness to work hard and sometimes long hours to get the job done. Has a track record of working hard.
  • Experience of operating a Forklift counter balance (desirable/ not essential).
  • Knowledge or IATA class 7/IMDG qualified (desirable/ not essential).
  • Knowledge or ADR qualified (desirable/ not essential).
  • Knowledge of known consigner (desirable/ not essential).
