This role provides planning coordination support to facilitate more effective planning support and processes for a relevant area/site. Duties are undertaken with clear supervision and instructions, with some limited room to deviate provided the required tasks are completed correctly.

Playing an important role in customer service delivery, the Logistics Coordinator shall manage chemical stock inventory, portable equipment maintenance and the dispatch of all materials and equipment to accomplish project objectives across North America and beyond.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Manage receipt of stock chemicals and sub sample for QA/QC checks
  • Select and prepare small volumes of chemicals and equipment to meet individual project needs
  • Ensure field equipment is in good working order and readily available to meet individual project requirements – repair, replace and maintain as and when necessary
  • Arrange domestic and in some instances international shipping of materials, that may include dangerous goods involving the preparation of labels, packaging and associated paperwork
  • Handle returned consumables to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained
  • Oversee chemical storage, both onsite and offsite, and arrange deliveries between offsite and onsite facilities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with transport providers
  • Ensure good housekeeping within the warehouse

Qualifications:

  • Post High School education such as some College education, an Associate degree level qualification or Certification in Industrial or Technical related fields
  • 1 – 2 years of warehouse experience in an industrial / technical environment
  • Proven technical and mechanical aptitude
  • Safety conscious attitude with clean driving record
  • Forklift truck training advantageous although training will be provided
  • Training in dangerous goods shipment by air, land and sea would be an advantage although full training will be provided
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
