Nucleonics and radiation lead

The newly formed ideation team at Tracerco is seeking a resident expert in nucleonics and radiation.

The ideation team is comprised of scientists and engineers and embraces a multidisciplinary approach to innovation. This exciting role requires an innovative, independent thinker capable of working in a fast-paced team. The ideation team’s brief is to deliver value to our customers through new products, identify opportunities in new markets, and to allow data to inform our decisions and progress. Above all, this position offers a unique opportunity for autonomous thought.

As part of the wider Product Development and Innovation team you will be involved in developing, designing and performing experiments in collaboration with colleagues to test novel ideas and develop new technologies. You will contribute towards planning, design, development, prototyping and delivering solutions from use-case scenarios to field trials and full-scale implementations for our customers.

This role requires the ability to develop and apply intelligent and innovative measurement, detection and analysis technologies. Practical, hands on experience of instrumentation in industry is a requirement for this position. A background in nucleonics and a solid understanding of radiation is also essential. Experience of writing code in a dynamic language for analysis would be advantageous, as would the ability to create and test prototype electronics, machine learned algorithms and mathematical models. Real world experience of working in any of the markets that Tracerco operate in will be considered a significant advantage.
