Monitoring a CO2 flood in two zones of a Permian Basin reservoir using chemical tracer technology

Tracerco has a proven track record in monitoring reservoir CO2 and hydrocarbon gas injections using chemical tracers. Extensive research and development programs have identified unique tracer materials for tagging injection CO2 or hydrocarbon gas that are compatible with reservoir formations, not naturally present, easily identified (even at ultra-low concentrations), demonstrate long-term stability at reservoir conditions, and are safe to handle and use. In the case of a CO2 flood, these chemical tracers possess properties that ensure similar behaviour to the injected CO2 when it comes to miscibility and reservoir transport, preventing misleading data that otherwise might skew tracer study results.
