Tracerco secures ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certifications in Brazil

Tracerco, part of Johnson Matthey plc, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certifications in Brazil, for its high standard of quality and environmental management systems, as well as its management systems for occupational health and safety.

Following on from the extremely successful audit of Tracerco’s office in Rio de Janeiro, Douglas Resende – QEHS coordinator, commented on the ISO certifications by stating:

When I came to Tracerco Brazil I realised that I joined a very strong team of high performing professionals, who were very engaged and willing to achieve the ISO standards.

Trust and openness in an organisation’s culture and building awareness and commitment to continuous improvement is by far the hardest part of the ISO standards implementation. The team here in Brazil already had those characteristics very well established in our organisational culture, so my job was very focused on bringing that knowledge, expertise and commitment together to achieve the ISO certifications for the business.

Another contributing factor to the success of the audit was the integration and collaboration with the Tracerco Quality and EHS teams at our headquarters in Billingham, UK. They were always available to help establish the same high standards we have in the UK, in Brazil. We didn’t need to reinvent the wheel, we learnt from what the UK did to achieve the ISO certifications and reapplied those standards locally.”

The implementation of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certifications in Brazil, demonstrates Tracerco’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable customer success. It also reinforces Tracerco’s position on placing health and safety as its number one priority.
