Remaining Oil Saturation Measurement

Remaining Oil Saturaton

When monitoring displacement of oil from a reservoir it is important to benchmark the amount that remains following secondary recovery.

The use of tracer technology is the best method to measure this important parameter. It allows the measurement of the remaining oil saturation to be determined between wells, as opposed to just surrounding a wellbore.

Typically the technology is used prior to a pilot Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) project to establish crude oil saturation. It is then repeated afterwards to determine EOR effectiveness.

Through our global network, we offer local reservoir tracer project management to meet your reservoir flow measurement needs wherever you are in the world.
